1980 Home – Launched 13 May 1980
The new England home kit was launched in 1980 and made it’s first appearance in the 3-1 friendly victory over Argentina at Wembley. The shirt was worn during 39 matches and made it’s final appearance in November 1983 in the 4-0 away European qualification victory against Luxembourg. A slightly altered version of the kit was worn during Euro 1980 and the 1982 World Cup which were both disappointing campaigns for different reasons.

The new England Home kit that was worn for three and a half years contains the usual traditional white shirt. The shoulders contain a combined blue and red pattern whilst just below is a thin blue pinstripe that runs on both sides of the shirt. The collar is a white V neck and the sleeves contain a white trim with red details inside. Manufacturers Admiral place their red logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the national England crest is situated in the top left of the shirt.

Match Highlights where this kit was worn include:
England 0-1 Italy – Euro 1980 Group Stage
England 3-1 Hungary – Friendly 1981
England 0-0 Spain – World Cup 1982 Group Stage Two
