1984 Home – Launched 29 February 1984
The new England Home kit was launched in 1984 and made it’s first appearance in the 2-0 friendly defeat to France held in Paris on the 29th February 1984. The shirt was eventually retired on the 29th April 1987 after the 0-0 European qualifer against Turkey in Izmir. The kit was worn a total of 27 times but never in any international tournaments. The shirt also marked the first shirt manufacturers during Umbro’s third and final spell in charge of making England kits.

The England home kit worn for three years and two months during 1984-87 contains the usual predominately white shirt with a navy blue V neck collar that has a red and white thin trim running throughout. The sleeve trims are similar to the collar as they are mainly navy blue with a thin red and white trim included. The design of the shirt is styled with two similar light tones of white running in vertical stripes throughout. Manufacturers Umbro place their navy blue logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the national England crest is positioned in the top left of the shirt.

Matches that England played in this shirt include:
England 2-0 Brazil – 1984 Friendly – John Barnes goal
