1990 Away – Launched 22 May 1990
The new England away kit was launched on the 22nd May 1990 and made its first appearance during the 2-1 friendly defeat to Uruguay at Wembley. The shirt was retired on the 17th November 1993 after the 7-1 victory over San Marino which was made famous due to the fact the minnows scored a goal after a number of seconds. The kit was worn on 8 occasions although the majority of them were friendly matches.

The England away kit contains a predominately two toned red shirt with the darker red being the predominate colour. The colour is a navy blue polo beck with a white button strip whilst the edges of the sleeves contain a black and white trim. Manufacturers Umbro place a white Umbro logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the England three lions national badge is positioned in the top left.
