2007 Home – Launched February 2007

This new England home kit was launched in February 2007 and a curious fact to it was that it was given its debut and farewell against current European Champions Spain. Spain won both matches, 1-0 and 2-0 respectively with the opening match being a friendly played in Old Trafford and the last match being played in the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in Sevilla.

The kit was manufactured by Umbro and was plain white with the Umbro crest located on the very top right part of the chest with the Three Lions crest placed on the opposite left. The kit had a squiggly blue design running down either side which had a texture of the Three Lions. A first for the England home kit was that it was the first home kit since 2001 that had no collar. The kit also featured the umbro logo on the right sleeve while featuring a red stripe across the chest extending to the left sleeve. Two navy blue diamonds appear above the Umbro logo next to the collar.

The kit was launched first onto Ebay yet the winning bidder still had to wait until it was in the local shops before receiving it.
England’s competitive matches during which they wore this shirt include:
England vs Andorra 3-0
England vs Russia 3-0
