Welcome to our website where we are taking a look at every kit the English national team have worn, whether it be white, red, blue or even yellow and we are just talking outfield players. The kits have been manufacturerd by current "tailors" Umbro, Bukta and Admiral, we'll take a look at each individually and with your help find the best and worst that England have worn.

1987 Home – Launched 19 May 1987

The new England home kit was launched on the 19th May 1987 and made it’s first appearance in the 1-1 draw at home to Brazil in a friendly tournament. The shirt was retired on the 13th December 1989 as the team won 2-1 over Yugoslavia at Wembley. The kit was worn a total of 22 times [...]




1988 Away – Launched 24 May 1988

The new England away kit made it’s debut on the 24th May 1988 in the 1-1 friendly draw with Columbia at Wembley. The kit was retired on the 11th October 1989 after the 0-0 World Cup qualifer with Poland in Chorzow. In total, the kit was only worn on four occasions by 24 different players. Noticable [...]




1988 Alternative – Never worn

The new England third kit was launched in 1988 and was the same design as the 1987 home kit and the 1988 away kit. The only occasion where this kit was seen in action was during an England u21’s match away to Turkey in 1991.

The new England home kit was launched on the 28th March 1992 and made its first appearance during the 1-0 friendly victory against Brazil at Wembley. The shirt was retired on the 18th November 1992 after a 4-0 victory against Turkey in a friendly. 1990 Away – Launched 22 May 1990

The new England away kit was launched on the 22nd May 1990 and made its first appearance during the 2-1 friendly defeat to Uruguay at Wembley. The shirt was retired on the 17th November 1993 after the 7-1 victory over San Marino which was made famous due to the fact the minnows scored a goal after a number of seconds. The kit was [...]




1991 Third – Launched 1 May 1991

The new England third kit was launched on the 1st May 1991 and made its only appearance during the 1-0 European Championships qualification match away to Turkey in Ismir. The kit will probably be remembered for Dennis Wise scoring his first and only international goal whilst wearing it and Steve Hodge winning his 24th and last cap as a substitute.
